Friday Remint: Running Out of Time
Announcing the reminted artwork for Week 1 of the Burn, Remint, Repeat project.
The first ‘Remint Friday’ is here, marking Week 1 of my Burn, Remint, Repeat project. Earlier this week, I gave you a sneak peek, and now it’s time to reintroduce Running Out of Time, a piece from 2022.
Soul connections may span lifetimes, but even fate has its limits. Fear and hesitation can cause hope to fade, as time slips away—and with it, the chance to grasp what might have been.
Running Out of Time (2022) was born from deep personal reflection on love, fate, and the choices we make. At its core, the artwork meditates on the delicate balance between fate and human will.
Rather than viewing fate as a pre-packaged inevitability, I wanted to explore how fate is influenced by time and human will—our actions or inaction. I framed fate as a deep connection that is cosmically engraved on our fingertips, but not promised or guaranteed. The realization of fate can be shaped by the choices we make, the ones we don’t, our indecision, hesitation, fears, and hopes. And when the threads of fate are tied to another person, it becomes even more complex.
I created this piece during a time when I was learning to be more emotionally vulnerable on the canvas, after years of keeping an emotional distance in my illustration and graphic design work. This piece marks that shift for me as an artist, which is why I chose it as the first reminted artwork in my reintroduction project.
When I made Running Out of Time, I was reflecting on how fear and hesitation can affect even the strongest connections. It became a deeply personal exploration of holding on versus letting go and of what it means to love someone, wait for them, and fear that if we hesitate for too long, we might lose our chance.
The artwork was hand-drawn in Adobe Fresco on my iPad. The color palette was chosen to evoke nostalgia and it features red roses (for love), forget-me-nots (for memory), and dahlias (red for perseverance and black/grey for mourning), all chosen to symbolize both the beauty of love and the quiet grief that comes with the possibility of losing it. A large clock looms in the background, nearing midnight, representing the inevitable passage of time. The finite time we have in this life contrasts with the red thread of fate, connecting the two figures across lifetimes. Below, spirit-like figures with skeletal heads hold a glowing orb of fading hope, symbolizing the spiritual connection beyond life and death—the past-life selves of the two standing figures, desperately holding on to hope as time runs out in the present.

The Burn, Remint, Repeat Project
As part of my reintroduction project, I burned all of my unsold NFTs and am now slowly reminting only my favorite works. Through this process, I’m not only reintroducing myself as an artist but also reintroducing these artworks with more context and depth. These burned pieces, all formerly 1/1 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, will be reminted as editions on the Tezos blockchain via OBJKT. (Prints will also be available when my print shop launches in the coming months.) If you'd like to learn more about my Burn, Remint, Repeat project and hear me explain my 'why', please read or listen to my newsletter article below, where I dive deeper into everything.
Burn, Remint, Repeat: Let Me Reintroduce Myself
As the autumn vibes begin to rise and the leaves prepare to fall, I find myself emerging from a summer of silence and introspection with a match in hand. There’s a season for everything, and this season is a time to burn things down to make room for new growth. This is the part where I reintroduce myself and my artwork as I step boldly into my authentic…
